2014 Season - Week 21
SuperGames
And so we are five days away from Superbowl XLIX. If you cannot make it to HQ on Sunday for the big game but still want to have a wager or two, we will be playing the usual games at the traditional price of £1 per game. Remember all money is split equally between the games winners as the BUMS is a non-profit making organisation and gambling is the work of the devil. Attached is the price of the Superbowl players so you can enter your team (usual play-off rules 1 x QB, 1 x K, 4 x Outfield Players for a maximum of $7.5m). The other games are First Player to Score (QB only if he runs it in), Half-time score, Full-time score and team leading by Quarter eg Tie,Tie,Seahawks,Patriots. (TTSP).
All-BUMS Voting
Thanks to those who have already voted for their favourite players of 2013. If you have not voted yet remember I need (in order) your top 3 Running Backs and top 3 Receivers plus your number 1 & 2 Quarterbacks, Kickers and Coaches. Vote for your players based on BUMS points, how much you enjoy them, what they meant to their BUMS roster/NFL team or just the fact they were on your roster. The deadline is 10am this Saturday January 31st, just four days time so please vote now if you haven’t done so already. (See POSscoring 2014 attached).
BUMSBowl XIX Preview
Will there will be a new name on the BUMSBowl Trophy this year. It’s the first visit to the Final for Ron while David S won his only previous BUMSBowl in 2007 defeating Wayne 20-17. Ron is now 1-1 in the Championship Game while Stampy improved to 2-7. Overall Ron is 7-12 in postseason play while Dave is 24-15. This is the third time they have faced off against each other, Stampy winning both Wildcard matchups in 2006 and 2007, 22-13 and 17-6 respectively. Road To The Final – Ron (#5 seed) beat Dave G (#12) 13-0 in the wildcard round, then Cheryl (#11) 25-19 in the divisional and defeated Wayne (#16) 24-14 in the championship. David Stamp (#14 seed) upset Aaron (#3) in the wildcard 17-11, then Mark (#4) 28-24 in the divisional and surprised (#10) Daz in the championship 23-18. A warning for Ron, the number 5 seed has never won the BUMSBowl while the 14 seed won it once, back in 2007 when Stampy was that seed. The biggest outsider to win it was Daz who as the 15th seed beat Mark the 7th seed in 2006. Ron & David need to get their teams in by noon this Saturday. First come, first served as always gents. The Commissioners office is now open to receive your teams.
